Exodus of The Frogs: Part 1

Omnichain is NOT a unique idea. Our process IS unique.

TL;DR

  • The Frogs are on an Exodus
  • We are building a machine with our Trait Market. Not a toy.
  • The Plague is working with Layer Zero Labs to create an omnichain NFT factory
  • Frog holders can “burn” their ETH frog and mint their own collection of frogs on other chains.
  • Unlike other projects, The Plague of Frogs is giving future collection growth (A.K.A. future revenue opportunities) to its holders.
  • The frogs are going out to the masses. We are not bringing them here to be your exit liquidity.

This is the first part, of a multi-part series of the Exodus of Frogs. The frogs are on an exodus from:

  • A single-chain ecosystem. We will remain on ETH, but the Frogs will also be on other chains (Exodus: Part 1)
  • NFT Twitter. Of course, we will continue to dominate NFT Twitter. But we will also build our brand outside this drama filled echo-chamber (Exodus: Part 2)
  • The NFT = PFP Paradigm. We will bring our “Proof of Journey” Supply Chain solution to life, proving that NFTs can be MUCH more than animal JPEGs. Note: We talk about “Proof of Journey” a lot because it is close to launch. We are working on much more than just a supply chain solution.

Some are building toys. We are building a machine.

On October 15th we revealed that we were building Traitmarket.io. At that time we had been building it for a couple of months. We gave a few details to get you thinking, but we purposely withheld most of them. And to be honest, we have come up with some new ideas along the way.

Since our announcement (Note: Psychedelics Anonymous was the first to announce a trait-swap), MANY projects have announced and even implemented trait-swap platforms for their holders. Does that make our forthcoming Traitmarket.io old news?

No.

Trait-swaps are cool and fun. But that is not what we are building. For The Plague, the trait swap mechanism is the means to multiple “ends.”

Some people buy computers and they use them for games. Others buy computers, and build companies with them. See the difference?

So what is the Plague doing?

We are building a machine that will:

  • Fulfill the Frog’s promise of growing our community without diluting the original project. In fact, we are over-delivering because Frogs will become deflationary.
  • Help Leap Media (@leapmedia_io) integrate Web2 brands into Web3
  • Facilitate dynamic NFT mints for creators, projects, and brands inside and outside the NFT space
  • Bring utility to the frogs through $FRG

And our machine will work on MANY chains.

An Omnichain NFT Factory

We are excited to announce that The Plague is working with the team at Layer Zero (@LayerZero_Labs) to create an omni-chain NFT factory for creators and brands inside and outside of the NFT space.

Our goal is for Traitmarket.io (under construction) to be a “one-stop shop” for individual creators, Web3 teams, and Web2 brands that want to mint a single NFT or entire collections on many popular chains.

This is just ONE of the many use-cases for our trait-swap mechanism. We will reveal the rest later. We don’t need to tip off our competition.

Will the Frogs be on other chains? Yes.

What?! The Frogs are leaving ETH?

No.

ETH Frog holders can use their frogs and their frogs’ traits to create new Frogs and spread The Plague on other chains! We call the process “POP”, Plague Omnichain Proliferation.

How does it work? More details will be released soon. But to participate you need:

  1. An ETH Frog
  2. $FRG
  3. Access Traitmarket.io (under construction)

The POP process brings a unique utility to the Frogs. Frog holders can now start a project or just create a community with an IP package that is already established, well respected, and widely known throughout the NFT space.

Imagine that.

Instead of a project diluting its collection and diminishing the value of its current holder base, The Plague is pushing the value to its holder base.

Oh.. did we mention that ETH Frogs would become deflationary?

How?

  • Step 1: We build an omnichain NFT factory. This is in progress
  • Step 2: We create a system that allows Frog holders to “burn” their ETH frog(s) in exchange for the ability to mint up to 100 Frogs (this is a theoretical number. The final number might be different) on another chain. That is right, you can create your own collections on other chains. You can do this by yourself, or potentially partner with other frogs
  • Step 3: The “burn” process also allows you to delegate the potential $FRG you would have earned with your ETH frog, to your new collection.
  • Step 4: Conduct your mint on the chain of your choice.

Why?

So why would someone want to “burn” one of their ETH Frogs to create a new collection of Frogs on another chain?

  • To create your own project and get a head start with a strong brand and community associated with The Plague Brand
  • If you prefer the community on a different chain, you can move your frog to be on that chain
  • The Plague’s District system will be implemented with this process allowing you to create E2E Frog NFT’s on other chains
  • More use-cases that will come to light as the industry evolves

To be honest, we are early on this. But we believe the industry will continue to grow for some projects. Those projects who have built a solid brand, and that continue to deliver utility to their holders. Therefore, we can see a day where having a Plague Frog NFT is desirable for the masses. In fact, we are working towards making that vision a reality.

This process will allow us to meet that demand AND TO GIVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO MEET THAT DEMAND TO OUR HOLDERS.

That is what you call material holder utility. Novel concept.

FAQ

Will this dilute the collection?

No. There will only ever be 10,725 Frogs on ETH. And there will only be 10,725 Frogs that can earn $FRG from the staking pool. And only those 10,725 Frogs can be used to create new Frogs on other chains.

Will FRG be Omnichain Too?

Yes.

What chains will be available for this process?

Polygon for sure! The others will be announced soon. We are on talks with the other chains to ensure that we will have proper support along the way. Technically, we could migrate to any chain Layer Zero is working with today and the ones that are on their roadmap as they release them.

Can you burn more than one frog and multiply the number of frogs you can mint on other chains?

Yes.

Can people team up, and combine their frogs to create collections?

Yes.

Will my frog be “burned” forever?

Yes.

What about 1 of 1 frogs? They will be burned forever?

This creates an interesting problem that we have to talk through. When you burn an Army frog or an OG frog, you get a set of traits that you can carry over and that you can list to sell to others. Only owners of traits will be able to sell their traits (more details on this later). We may have a different process for a 1 of 1 burn. More discussion coming.

What about the $FRG that I could have earned with my ETH frog?

You will be able to delegate that FRG into the newly minted frogs

Why is The Plague Doing this?

We believe that in the long run our community size will far exceed 10,725 holders. There is also a possibility that the speculative floor price will create a barrier to entry for future potential holders (Note: We have no control over the speculative floor price). Additionally, there are many potential community members that prefer to do their business on other chains. They simply won’t use an NFT on ETH.

Conclusion:

The Plague is building for the long term. We try not to get sucked into the daily and weekly “flavor of the month” noise in the space. Especially on NFT Twitter.

We are building for the masses. More importantly, we are not waiting for them to come to us, we are going out to them. We believe that is a better strategy then bringing them into the current NFT space so that they can be your exit liquidity on some pump n dump project of the day.

Bottom line. The Plague is spreading…
